Star Ocean eBay auction
Well, I won the auction for an original Super Famicom gamebox of Star Ocean (Overall near-mint value) and I only paid $40 for it, it's supposed to arrive by Friday. Once I conglomerate my various tools and systems, I just might crack into playing the actual game instead of the rom, but I'd eventually like to learn moonspeak for it, but that's a ways off yet. |

Ps2 network adapter
So I bought a ps2 network adapter from a closing GameStop last week, found out late last night that it's missing two connector-pins. But on the bright side, I found out how to play my ps1 backups on my ps2 without using cogswap or any similar method - I've turned my fat ps2 into a flip-top. |

Slayers - or 'How one song fueled my obsession with anime'
So one day, about ten years back, I popped a Hastings rental vhs into my vcr and a preview for this show called Slayers came on, the song hooked me nearly instantly. Since, I've actually seen very little of Slayers (but I'm remedying that) but have all of the soundtracks, even the Drama CD, and just found the song from that preview. Megumi Hayashibara - Unlimited Desire is the song, find a copy and have a listen. The correct time is 5:06 (give or take depending on which CD it was from) so donLt get scammed with the promo version (under two minutes). On a serious note, I almost had a heart attack at work today. |

Gamefaqs is stepping up their security a notch
there are now automatic scripts in place to suspend a user whenever certain phrases are posted, without the intervention of any moderator or admin. One such phrase is "meatspin.com" apparently, but it only netted me a 30-day suspension and a loss of 30 karma. Not like I'm not one of the oldest remaining members, what with being active since the days of aol-space or anything, you'd think they could eventually get around to finding out if my original account can be restored or something. No, of course not, they're more interested in keeping me from posting on the boards. |

Games Games Games!
So I tried to get Hellfire (the only Diablo expansion) and it wouldn't install, sucks. So I'm getting Halo, Quake 3 Arena and Wizardry Gold right now. I'm hoping at least one of them works decently. And the Doom Collector's Disc is AWESOME! |

Returned from inactivity (yet again)
Working on making my life better, one thing at a time. Finally got a bank account, looking sporadically for a place of my own, too. Working at this warehouse has ruined my back, though, I have to sleep in an upright position most of the time, or I can't even get up in the mornings. Working on downloading Uresei Yatsura, but at 196 episodes and several movies, it's gonna take a long time. Hoping to get hired at the warehouse soon, but I can't expect it to happen, Troy is fickle. |
